Refund Policy

The Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (GJMR) is committed to providing high-quality service to its authors and readers. The following Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which authors may be eligible for a refund, as well as the conditions that apply.

1. Submission Fees:

  • GJMR charges no fees for manuscript submissions or peer review. All submission, processing, and peer review activities are conducted free of charge.

2. Article Processing Charges (APCs):

  • GJMR operates under an Open Access model, and authors may be required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) once their article has been accepted for publication. This fee helps cover the costs associated with editing, formatting, and making the article freely available online.
  • The APC is charged only after the article has been accepted for publication, and the invoice is sent to the corresponding author.

3. Eligibility for Refund: Refunds for APCs are not typically provided. However, the following exceptional circumstances may warrant a refund:

  • Article Withdrawal Before Acceptance: If the author withdraws the manuscript before acceptance for publication, the APC will not be charged, and there will be no obligation for the author to pay.
  • Acceptance or Processing Error: If the journal inadvertently processes an article for publication in error (e.g., through technical or administrative mistakes), the APC may be refunded.
  • Article Rejection Before Acceptance: If the article is rejected before formal acceptance (i.e., during the peer review stage), no APC will be charged. If an author has already made an APC payment in advance, they will receive a full refund.
  • Duplicate Payment: If an author accidentally makes multiple payments for the same article processing, a refund will be issued for the excess amount paid.
  • Force Majeure or Exceptional Circumstances: In case of situations like natural disasters, health emergencies, or other unforeseen events preventing the processing of the manuscript, authors may request a refund.

4. Non-Refundable Fees: Once the article has been accepted for publication and the APC payment has been processed, the fee becomes non-refundable. This includes:

  • If the article has been accepted and is in the process of being edited, formatted, or scheduled for publication.
  • If the article is published online or in any other format (e.g., special issue, volume, etc.).
  • If the manuscript is withdrawn after acceptance or publication.

5. Refund Requests:

  • Authors requesting a refund must submit a formal written request to the editorial team at the earliest opportunity, explaining the reason for the request.
  • The request will be reviewed by the editorial team, and a decision will be made based on the provided details and the stage of the article in the publication process.

6. Processing Time for Refunds:

  • If a refund is granted, it will typically be processed within 14-30 business days after the approval of the refund request.
  • Refunds will be issued through the same payment method used for the original payment (e.g., credit card, bank transfer, PayPal, etc.).

7. Author Responsibilities:

  • Authors are advised to review their manuscripts thoroughly before submitting and to ensure they are ready to proceed with publication once accepted.
  • Authors must communicate promptly with the journal’s editorial team if they wish to withdraw their manuscript or if there are any concerns about the processing fee.

8. Administrative Fees:

  • In the case of requests for refunds that are due to reasons other than journal error, GJMR may charge a processing fee to cover administrative costs incurred in handling the refund request.

9. Policy Changes:

  • The refund policy is subject to change at the discretion of the journal. Authors will be notified of any changes to the policy and should refer to the most current version available on the journal’s website.

Through this Refund Policy, Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Research strives to maintain transparency and fairness in its dealings with authors while ensuring that the journal can sustain its high standards of quality and open access.
