Archiving Policy
The Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (GJMR) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its content to ensure that research remains available for future generations of scholars, researchers, and practitioners. In order to support the dissemination of knowledge and uphold the principles of academic integrity, the journal has adopted the following archiving policy:
1. Open Access Archiving: All published articles are archived in multiple digital repositories and are freely available for reading, download, and distribution. The open-access nature of the journal ensures that research is readily accessible to a global audience without any financial barriers.
2. Digital Preservation: To ensure the long-term accessibility of published content, GJMR employs robust digital preservation strategies. This includes:
- Archiving articles in prominent academic and institutional repositories.
- Collaboration with organizations such as LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe), CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS), and other trusted digital preservation services.
- Ensuring that all published content is accessible through DOI (Digital Object Identifier) registration, ensuring stable links and easy retrieval.
3. Content Archiving with External Repositories: In addition to GJMR’s internal archives, all articles are deposited in various external repositories for greater visibility and preservation. These repositories include:
- PubMed Central (for health sciences-related articles)
- Google Scholar (for general academic visibility)
- CORE (for global open access repositories)
- SSRN (for social sciences, economics, and management)
- ArXiv (for preprints in fields like physics, computer science, and engineering)
4. Long-Term Accessibility: GJMR is committed to maintaining access to all its published content indefinitely. We ensure that articles remain accessible via stable web platforms and distributed archival systems.
5. Policy on Self-Archiving: Authors are encouraged to archive their manuscripts in institutional repositories or other public repositories following the journal’s publication. Authors can deposit preprints or postprints of their work according to the guidelines of the publisher and the journal’s open-access policy.
6. Back-up and Disaster Recovery: GJMR maintains regular backups of its content and ensures a disaster recovery plan to prevent the loss of published material. These backups are stored in geographically dispersed servers to ensure data integrity and reliability.
7. Version Control: The latest version of an article is always the one that is made publicly available. However, in the case of significant corrections or retractions, authors and readers will be notified, and the updated version will be archived.
8. Publisher Partnerships: The journal partners with major publishers and content delivery platforms to ensure that articles remain accessible and visible in academic search engines and databases.
Through these measures, Global Journal of Multidisciplinary Research ensures that all articles are preserved, accessible, and available to researchers and professionals for continued academic and scientific use.
